owners talk: Sharon Treleaven, Epicure Consultant

Epicure Selections

Hello everyone my name is Sharon Treleaven and I have been an Epicure Consultant for almost two years. There are two main reasons I started this business. #1 reason, my husband and I had a really hard time having Abi (our 2 year old daughter), so I wanted to stay home with her, but yet I still needed to make some money. #2 reason Abi has some severe allergies and we needed to find products that were peanut free and didn't have all the additives. When I attended an Epicure Tasting party I was amazed at there products and they were very yummy and for the most part all natural products. It was like an answer to my prayers. I got thinking to myself and thought I can do this.

What has Epicure done for me? Well it has helped me build my self confidence as an independent women. It has helped me bring in extra money to support my family and it has helped me keep my daughter safe with all her food sensitivities and allergies.

If you are wondering could I ever do this? Yes you can. When I first started this business my confidence was very low and this business has made me a very confident person. I can speak in front of crowds now, I am getting better at my organization skills, not to mention Epicure has a great support team and training program.

If there is one thing I struggle with, that would be phoning people and doing follow-up calls. I would rather talk to people face to face, but obviously that is not realistic. You always want to coach you hostesses and when you do that your most often guaranteed a qualified show. A qualified show is $250 before taxes.

When you do a show we call it a Tasting Party. You go into a hostesses home do a little presentation and let people taste test. You would prepare 6-7 veggie dips, 1 fruit dip, 1 salsa, and usually 1 hot dip. Depending on the crowd you are expecting. Your hostess supplies the veggie and fruit tray, taco chips and something to drink.

This is an awesome time for you to socialize and have a break from the kids and well doing that make some extra money to support the family. If you have an questions feel free to browse my Epicure Website and send me an e-mail.

Thank-you!!
