check-mark reviews

Company: Certified Travel Services

Locations: United States

Stars out of 5:

***

Suspected Spam or Scam (a): No

Job/Business: Business

Salary/Income Range: Dependent on number of clients.

Website: www.certrav.net

Description of Business:
Certified Travel services is a US-based business established in 1986. A one-off membership fee of USD 499 is all that is required to set the ball rolling. Certified Travel Services will give you the basic training required to set you on your way. If you are interested in joining, there are two alternatives: home-based or business-based. Home-based members do not have a business name of their own. They operate under the Certified Travel Services banner. The business-based option is meant for an established travel agency. In this case, the services and products offered by Certified Travel Services are supplementary to the businessí existing operations. In the business-based option, you retain your business name. What makes this franchise attractive is the reservations software provided free to members. Certified Travel Services also offer marketing support.

Pros:
1. Low membership fee.
2. Training, support and a strong brand name to work under offered as part of the franchise.

Cons:
1. Under the home-based option, dependence on Certified Travel Services brand.
2. Difficult to compete against airlines offering online travel reservation service direct to clients.
3. Unclear whether this "training" provides any advantage and whether this membership allows you to provide fares which are better than those offered by discount travel websites.

(a) Scam - illegal / unethical job or business opportunity designed to trick people out of their money.
